Mamli was born at Rourkela, Odisha, on March 8, 1999. I was at Hyderabad at the time and my father’s PS, Mr. Mathur, called me to say that I was a father. I reached Rourkela only on March 11, a good 3 days after my first child was born. By then she was back in my father-in-law’s home in sector 18.
I don’t know if I can describe my feelings the first time I saw my daughter and held her tiny form. Can it be described to anybody who has not experienced it? I don’t think it is possible to.
