We visited Gangtok in mid April, 2009. This was a vacation planned for the summer 2007 but we had to cancel at the last minute then.
This account was written as it happened. I used by Sony Ericsson P1i and my blog (What Ho!). Photos taken during the trip are on the family photo gallery, Mo Chitra.
A lot of planning went into this vacation. We booked the train tickets in mid to late January 2009 and after a lot on Internet research finally narrowed down on the Mingtokling Guest House. I made a wire transfer of the booking amount to Prema’s Axis Bank account in Gangtok to secure the room reservation.
